I am a paramedic with many other interests! I am a Social Media / Networking Advocate and the father of three awesome boys!

In one sentence I would described myself as “I am a white, conservative (Republican) Christian, heterosexual male.” Of course based on that description my opinion is automatically wrong to more than half the population.
I was born and raised in Lower Bucks County, Pennsylvania (mainly Bristol area). I have done a bunch of traveling around the United States and have been fortunate to meet many great people and see amazingly beautiful sites. The United States is the GREATEST country in the world, yes we have problems but we have the people and resources to overcome all of those problems and show the rest of the world way we really are great!
I have three boys that bring much joy in to my world. Family is a very important part of my life, I believe that many of today’s social problems are a direct result of the breakdown of the nuclear family! I am divorced and I have witnessed the damage it causes to families first hand. Children MUST have their parents involved in their lives – even if those parents cannot be together.
I am proud to say that I am a Christian, but do not be fooled – I am not perfect in anyway, I have many flaws. I know that my flaws are no hindrance to receive the merciful love of my heavenly Father. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and the sins of all mankind in order to make us clean in the eyes of his Father – God. Everyday through the grace of the Holy Spirit I strive to walk in a more Christ-like manner, there are many day when I stumble but I am still protected by God’s unconditional love. I am a member of a great church community, the Levittown Christian Church. We are a small congregation full of many wonderful people! You are always welcome to join us in celebrating God’s love on Sunday mornings at 10:45 AM.
Professionally, I am a Paramedic, I enjoy being able to come to the aid of people in their time of greatest need. I work for the Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad in Bucks County. I began as a volunteer with my local fire company and quickly progressed into a career in the Emergency Medical Services. I believe strongly in the growing EMS 2.0 movement – which is away for providers at every level around the world to have meaningful impact of the growth and development of the modern EMS System.
Besides spending time with my children I enjoy a variety of other activties;
- Nature – I like to be outside and enjoy the natural world. Weather going tent camping and hiking in the woods with the boys or sitting quietly in a park, I see that our world is full of many treasures for us to enjoy (and respect).
- Reading – I learned about the joy of reading slightly later in life, but now you can frequently find me in the Grundy Library (Bristol, PA) or one of a few Barnes & Noble Book Stores in the area.
- Funny Movies – Because of my profession I am witness to many tragic situations when it’s time to enjoy myself, I want to laugh! I love funny movies of all kinds from the slap-stick antics of the Three-Stooges to the silly humor of Monty Python and National Lampoon and all comedies in between. Laughter is a great gift and must be exercised on a daily bases.
- Cooking – I love to cook. When I was married I enjoyed cooking for friends and family members. I still get to cook for people, just not as often as I would prefer. I am addicted to both the Food Network and the Cooking Channel!
Politically, I feel we need to return to a more conservative national government. Return more control to the States and local levels of government – community problems and concerns are regional and MUST be addressed on a regional bases. More importantly however – individual citizens must take back personal responsibility – We must become more accountable for every decision we make! Exercise your right to participate in a democratic government – vote, participate and be accountable.
SOCIAL MEDIA – I have become a social media junkie! I think we are entering a new and exciting era of communications and personal interaction (I know it seems funny to thing of social media as a form of personal interaction when its mostly conducted from computers and cell-phones). Social media streams (blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and the online-hyper local media – like the Patch) give us an opportunity to interact and communicate in new ways. There is still a great need for personal, face-to-face communications in our world – but social media can help connect us to those people and events that we want to be apart of.
My Blogging
I started following the writings of a blogger – See Jen Write, I had never met her but she was a friend of a friend so I began reading. I had heard of blogging but never really read anything before. I began reading other blogs that interested me. I was amazed by this medium!
Please take a look at my Blog Roll on the lower right-hand side of the page to see the blogs I enjoy and those which help inspire me.
I knew I had a lot to say and finally I found a way to say it. I really didn’t care if anyone actually read what I wrote at first – I could at least put my thoughts out there. But than, I started getting readers – people wanted to hear my thoughts! Blogging has become a source of great personal pleasure and pride.
